Assumption school offers an academic program for students in Kindergarten through grade 9 that will transition students well for Senior Secondary school. The Ministry of Education in British Columbia mandates our programs, and we follow the same provincial curriculum as all elementary schools across B.C.
The Assumption school curriculum subjects are:
Religion, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, French, Physical Education, Music, Art, Drama, and electives for grades 8 and 9 students. The electives are subject to change each year.
The 2007/2008-year electives are:
Term 1: Info. Tech., Drama, Business Education, Band and Art.
Term 2: Home Economics, Boating Safety / Lifesaving Course, Community Recreation,
Band, and Media Studies.
